This mare, Rummy, is super special… 5yo 17h and bred for Dressage out of the Hanoverian stallion Royal Tourmalet SPF. She is a gorgeous and light mover who is easy to get round and on the bit and also very uphill. Everyone is always shocked at how light she moves and what a gorgeous picture she creates! She is the barn favorite and super sweet… and calm! She has been ridden bareback, jumps in the field, hacks on the buckle, and training low level Dressage the past several months. She is very sound and clean X-rays but does have very minimal signs of shivers. We don’t normally see any signs but she did want to lift her LH up in cross ties when she arrived until she settled. She has since moved barns again and transitioned beautifully… and is great for the farrier. The only glitch we see is when we back her up in hand it’s not smooth but is better under saddle. She needs to be in a riding program and strengthen her hind end…even one vet thought maybe this was a strength issue. I’ll be 💯 honest and transparent about her if anyone is interested! She is currently in SE Florida and will be going to either NC or VA soon to have better turnout, hills, and to learn to fox 🦊 hunt. I have delayed doing this because I’m crushed as she is my dream 🐴 but SE Florida makes things difficult when we have very little turnout options. I'm only doing this because I know it is best for her long term! I have videos and pics and happy to share it all. I know most of us know horses with shivers successfully competitive in all sports and I feel this is the case with her… she’s a special one for sure 💕 | ||||||||||||||||||
