If you were looking for something that's going to be competitive to both ride and drive; something that is sporty, with fantastic movement, Wally is one to consider! Wally easily one of the fanciest moving colts we have raised. With an exceptionally animated trot and a good canter, we think this colt has promise in both the traditional draft horse ring, as well as the potential to be very competitive in riding pursuits. If competing is not your thing, this colt is sweet and kind and would likely also enjoy leisure rides or drives together without the pressures of a show schedule.
He is curious and kind; he is enjoying taking walks with his handlers around the property to inspect new things and is quickly learning all the new skills introduced to him since weaning. Wally is broke to lead and tie (both straight and in cross-ties) and is currently learning some age-appropriate body control cues such as backing, yielding his hip and shoulder, stepping over, etc. He is good for his farrier appointments and bathing and had been loaded into the trailer a few times and hauled on short trips.
We anticipate Wally maturing in the 18hh range, he is UTD on all cares. We would consider offers to find Wally the perfect home situation.
