Etiole is a true Bue Roan unicorn. One of only a handful of Ardennes in the United States and one of only 1,500 approximately remaining in the world. She was imported from Belgium during the time period that the BDHCA allowed the registration of European Belgian breeds. SO, she is registered as an American Belgian as well as dual registered with the European Brabant Registry of America, however she is a 100% imported ARDENNES! The Ardennes is the shorter, heavier boned, thicker muscle first cousin of the Brabant. Etoile has a temperament that many long for but actually never find even in the draft breeds. She is the sweetest, most gentle horse I have ever been in the presence of. She loves people, gets along with other horses. Her first riding experience (without permission) was witnessing our daughter riding her bareback through the pasture using only a halter Since then Etoile has been trail ridden, worked in a team in harness, and spent two months working for an Amish family to all farm field equipment. The quote from the Amish gentleman that kept her "she is the strongest horse I have ever worked". She is a proven broodmare and excellent mother, her foal resides here on our farm (now 3 1/2). She is healthy, sound, and would make someone that one horse in a million opportunity to fill a dream. We were offered $30,000 for her two years ago in which the offer was quickly turned down because to us she is priceless and irreplaceable, however a family situation has forced us with deep regret to offer her for sale to the right home. she is going to make some family extremely happy and you won't ever regret buying this one!
